The ATS Mediator is the acronym for Air Traffic Services Messages Advanced Editor. It is an exhaustive system for the Aviation Data Communication between the ATS Units using the standard protocol. At it's implementation, the ATS Mediator adopts Aeronautical Fixed Telecomunication Network (AFTN) as matrices in data processing.

The ATS Mediator as a concise system. It comprises the Interface Hardware and the Data Processor in a distinctive computer package. The ATS Mediator completed with the Mediator software version 2.3 designed specifically for the communication need and the ATS Units operational in sending, receiving and archiving the aviation data messages. Accordingly the AFTN standard published by ICAO, the ATS Mediator communicated with rashly ICAO standard messages, such as Flight Plan Messages, Departure Messages, Arrival Messages, Coordination Messages between ATS Units, Meteorology and Weather Messages, etc.

The Advantage of the ATS Mediator

The main advantage of using the ATS Mediator is the availability of semi-automatic facility in communication system between the ATS Units. This system has high priority in the data validity, message scheduling, and the aviation data archiving efficiency. The Data Validator ensures the sent data through the ATS Mediator could accepted by all systems based on the ICAO standard. Moreover, this feature is to help user to analyze the received aviation data if an error identified. The ATS Mediator also has the Repetitive Flight Plan (RPL) data processing feature. The RPL usability is for repetitive flight scheduling, like the Merpati BDO-HLM flight which departing everyday in a week. The data just inserted once and then the RPL will be generated automatically. Optionally, the ATS Mediator could be added with Flight Progress Strip Printer for the air traffic control need.

AFTN Data Receiver

The ATS Mediator receives AFTN data from an ATS Units, validates, and displays the Aviation Data.

AFTN Data Composer

The ATS Mediator arranges the aviation data message with the Auto-Completion Message feature, validates, and sends message to the ATS Units with the Memorize Recipients feature.

AFTN Data Recorder & Backup System

The ATS Mediator saves all the received Aviation Data and send it for 1 month, and then optionally could be saved on CD or DVD.

Strip Printer
